Notebooks

Is there actually any difference between the terms notebook and laptop?

In the beginning, portable computers were called a “laptop”. In an attempt to differentiate themselves from the still very heavy models at the time, Toshiba were the first to introduce the term “notebook”. These days there is no difference any more between the terms “laptop” and “notebook” so the two terms can be regarded as synonyms. It therefore doesn't matter anymore which word you search for. In both cases you will find with us, your wholesaler for laptops and notebooks, a suitable model for your customers.

Notebooks are becoming increasingly popular these days and are more and more often taking the place of stationary desktop PCs on desks and in workplaces. Without a doubt, a laptop has significant advantages over a permanently installed computer: it is easy to transport and simple to take along with you. Technical advances have also made it possible to continuously reduce the weight and size of mobile computers so they can be transported without problems and thus used anywhere. Ever more powerful rechargeable batteries with increasingly long battery lives now enable your customers to work with the notebook for up to 12 hours, i.e. a full working day. With regard to the efficiency and performance of the processors, these are now also on par with their larger cousins.

Innovative notebooks for all requirements?

As a wholesaler in the area of notebooks, we do of course offer a large selection of laptops. Discover our ECOM notebooks. No matter the requirements of your customer, you are guaranteed to find the right model in our online shop for resellers. The screen is an important criterion when selecting the right notebook. With a modern Captiva notebook and its widescreen format (16:9), your customers will always have a clear view of the desktop. We offer our laptops in the following screen diagonal sizes: 14.0" (35.56 cm) 15.6“ (39.6 cm) and 17.3“ (43.94 cm).

There are, of course, other aspects worth mentioning in addition to the screen. Having the right keyboard, for example, is also a decisive factor. Thanks to the integrated backlighting in most models, it is also possible to easily work with the laptop in dark rooms or late at night. Furthermore, our models come with a numeric keypad, which is often left out for space reasons. The security of your Captiva notebooks is also ensured by a Kensington Lock or fingerprint sensor.

ECOM Trading is a wholesaler, manufacturer and supplier in the area of notebooks and sells predominantly its own ECOM brand of notebooks called CAPTIVA via its online shop. Our notebooks, in a timeless design, not only look attractive from the outside but also offer your customer top hardware on the inside. We take particular care to ensure that our installed hardware components are compatible with each other and therefore enable the laptop to operate efficiently. The most important components that need to be taken into consideration when purchasing a notebook are the processor, graphics card, and hard drive. Several of our notebooks offer two integrated hard drives for simplest possible data management. One hard drive is for fast access, and one for storing especially storage-intensive files. But the hard drive not only determines how much data can be stored, but also affects the speed and the noise level. Besides the hard drive, the processor and the graphics card also play a decisive role. The processor is, so to speak, the heart of the PC or notebook and determines the operating speed. The performance of the graphics card is especially important if your customer is a passionate gamer.

The notebooks and laptops from ECOM Trading are ready to use immediately thanks to the latest version of the operating system. Use our notebook filter option in the online shop to easily and conveniently find a notebook tailored to the specific requirements of your customer.
