Effective May 1, 2025 , ECOM Electronic Components Trading GmbH expanded its management team to include Julia Deobald. The daughter of company founder Gerhard Ellinger is now assuming the role of Chief Operating Officer at the family-owned company. Together with Gerhard Ellinger (Managing Director, right), Jürgen Ellinger (Managing Director of Purchasing, left), and Dr. Roland Dietl (CFO, not pictured), Julia Deobald (née Ellinger, center) now forms the executive management team. She is responsible for IT, marketing, e-commerce, compliance, and the company’s own brand, Captiva. With Deobald, the internationally successful distributor of PC components has gained a dedicated and innovative strategist to continue successfully positioning the company in the international marketplace and to further drive the company’s growth. Julia Deobald's Career
In Munich, Julia Deobald initially studied business administration, but left the city for a semester abroad in New York (U.S.). She went on to earn her master’s degree in international management in Lisbon (Portugal). Even while she was still a student, Deobald gained solid practical experience through internships at companies such as UniCredit and the BMW Group. After completing her comprehensive training, she got her start in Cloud Consulting at Accenture and discovered her passion for analyzing and optimizing processes. Armed with this expertise, she joined the family business as a project manager in 2020 after about two years at Accenture. With the goal of driving the digital transformation of all areas of the company, she successfully led numerous projects, such as the implementation of a recruiting tool, new phone software, Microsoft Teams, and Power BI. She consistently focused on our vocational training programs, social media, and employer branding—to build a strong team!
